We are very excited to announce that we have been selected to join the John Lewis Partnerships’ first Retail Tech Innovation Programme of 2018!
The Retail Tech Innovation Programme, JLAB, is one of the UK’s largest tech innovation programmes, this year running for the first time in partnership with True - Europe's only retail and consumer sector specialist. Over 100 start-ups and established businesses applied for the first theme, Health and Wellbeing and we are truly overjoyed that the John Lewis Partnership could see our passion and get behind our vision.
John Vary, Futurologist at the John Lewis Partnership and one of the pitch day judges, said: “We were extremely impressed with the entries we had and the participants who attended our first pitch day of 2018. The businesses we’ve selected in the health and wellbeing space are truly innovative and we’re looking forward to helping them make their ideas part of our customers’ experiences. We’re passionate about exploring new concepts that will transform retail and drive creativity.” Innovation and creativity have been at the heart of Kafoodle since day one and we are relishing this opportunity to bring personalised food choices and meal option to Waitrose and John Lewis consumers.
Tarryn Gorre, Kafoodle’s CEO and Co-Founder says “It’s fantastic that Kafoodle has been given this opportunity to work alongside senior decision makers at Waitrose to help us showcase our technology and develop innovative ways of making it easier for consumers to make informed food choices. It’s going to be an exciting time for us over the next few months.”Read more on the partnership and the other finalists here.
