Kafoodle's award winning November!

It really has been a busy and eventful couple of weeks here at Kafoodle HQ (not that we are complaining!) and with many fantastic events and awards underway at the moment, November has proven to be a successful and enjoyable month for us all.We were all over the moon earlier this month when Tarryn (Co-founder of Kafoodle) won ‘The Pitch 2016’ on November 22nd. The award, which requires nominees to provide three minute business pitches to five highly esteemed judges, received hundreds of applicants. Tarryn was up against 15 other great finalists, but managed to take the winning spot. The judges merited Tarryn for her ‘confident’ pitch that demonstrated her ‘thorough understanding of the market’. We were all really pleased that the ‘huge growth potential’ for Kafoodle was noted, all after only three minutes![embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=607NgHF5p9Q&utm_source=facebook.com&feature=youtu.be&utm_campaign=buffer&utm_content=buffer8fa22&utm_medium=social&app=desktop[/embed]Again, a massive well-done to Tarryn from all of us at HQ.We were also really proud of our Founders who were nominated for two further awards: The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, for the 'Service Product of the Year' category and the Variety Catherine Awards for 'Inspirational Women in Technology'. Although they didn’t win on this occasion, they had a great time attending both events and enjoying the mood of celebration. The Variety Catherine Award is also a volunteer based event that aims to raise awareness and funds for the children’s ‘Variety’ charity. It was a super evening spent amongst some truly inspiring women and a great introduction and start to our involvement with such a worthy cause. On the first of December- when the Christmassy atmosphere (and chill!) really started to hit HQ - we were delighted to attend ‘The Caterer Product Excellence Awards, 2016'. The event recognises and celebrates excellence within the food, drink and equipment areas of the hospitality industry and Kafoodle were nominated as a finalist in the ‘Technology category’. We were delighted when it was revealed that we had won!! This is such an exciting award for the whole industry and we are truly honoured for this achievement.

So... what else have we been up to in Kafoodleland? Well, on the 2nd of December, Tarryn gave a talk at a local ‘Women in Food’ event. The event, which is run by ‘Female Foodpreneur’ (an Online hub that celebrates and connects women within the food industry) is a really great way to celebrate the feminine contribution within this sector. Tarryn shared her own story, explaining why she believes a connected network is a key factor for a successful career. A great evening was had by all.Well, as you can see it really has been a fortnight of celebration, so as you open the windows of your (Gluten/lactose/nut free?!) advent calendar, we wish you all a happy December!
