Why are we launching Kafoodle Kare?

12th February 2018

We are on the verge of a nutritional world crisis. Obesity and diet-related diseases are on the rise yet hunger and malnutrition are affecting more people than ever. Not only are these issues entirely preventable but they are costing the world more than £4 trillion pounds a year. An entirely incomprehensible figure.

Aside from the economic impact, heart disease has now overtaken cancer as the leading cause of death in the US killing 598,000 people a year. Deaths that could have been prevented with simple dietary changes.

To fight back against these shocking figures we must re-connect people with the food that they are eating, educate them on proper nutrition and personalise peoples diets to their individual needs. This is why we developed Kafoodle Kare.

Kafoodle Kare, food management software for the Health Care Sector

Designed for use in the health and social care sector Kafoodle Kare will help caterers and carers to tailor the diets of those in hospitals and care homes, providing patients/residents with the optimum nutrition they need for a better quality of life and quicker recovery time.

Kafoodle Kare makes it easy to see the suitability of daily, weekly and monthly meal plans and make adjustments to ensure that everyone is best catered for. Alongside nutritional targets, Kafoodle Kare will display the cost of each meal plan, helping care-homes and hospitals to stay within budget without compromising on the quality of their food.

Not one to shy away from a challenge Kafoodle Kare is also working toward factoring in food-medication clashes, the only system of its kind to do so.

By embracing these new technologies alongside The United Nations “Decade of Action on Nutrition,” and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals we will beat diet-related diseases and regain control of our diets.
