The 7th annual FDM everywoman in Technology awards is just around the corner, and we are delighted to announce that our founder, Kim has been nominated for the Innovator category due to her creative success with Kafoodle. We are even more delighted to announce that she has made it as a finalist!
The awards aims to ‘showcase the breadth and diversity of talent contributed by women in tech across all industries‘, whilst encouraging greater numbers of women to get involved in this field. The event is a superb way of driving an awareness of career opportunities that are available, and increasing a recognition of the individuals and companies that have made a significant impact in this sector.
With 11 different categories, the awards are designed to be as ‘inclusive as possible’. Furthermore, there are no restrictions regarding the length of a nominee’s career, meaning ‘entries are open to women at all stages’ from ‘start-up founders’ to ‘leaders within large corporate organisations’.
The Innovator category, which was won last year by Tania Boler, founder and CEO of Chiaro– an innovative technology brand that specialise in wearable tech exclusively for women- celebrates those who are ‘exceptionally creative with technology in an unconventional and innovative way’. Previous winners of this award have included Sinéad Brophy, Founder & CEO of MySupportBroker; a social enterprise that recruits and trains prospective support brokers, and Vicky Brock, CEO of Clear Waters; a Glasgow based predictive data technology provider, that aims to reduce retail return rates and increase a company’s profitability.
